I. The recalculation of the payment of the pension of discharged military personnel

i. The current status of the implementation of the reform of military personnel annuity reform:

(1) Preparation Work:

1. The Ministry has established military discharge operation system in accordance with the “annuity reform of military personnel”, and the data of the original discharge payment of the discharged personnel is provided by the expenditure agency and the data is imported into the system for recalculation and verification, and the system is modified in accordance with the regulation and adjust the system parameter by rolling method.

2. There are more than 200,000 discharge payments modified.

3. Bulk mail authorized the Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd for delivery and signed a special contract, and the notification letter authorized the Northern Printing Office of the Armaments Bureau for printing.

(2) Implementation after the third reading of the regulation:

1. Adjusting rolling parameters according to the modified article of the “Act of Service for Officers And Noncommissioned Officers of the Armed Forces”, and recalculate the discharge payment of the discharged personnel, and the calculation result is verified again by the expenditure agency.

2. Send the Recalculation Notification Letter to the Northern Printing Office of the Armaments Bureau for printing, and deliver to the appointed post office for mail delivery and collect the delivery certification.

3. The Ministry have conducted consultation training to discharged professional personnel, and they can provide consultation service to discharged fellows for relevant matters.

(2) Petition procedure:

If discharged fellows have any question about the notification letter sent by the Ministry or the Military Command, you can submit the petition letter to the Ministry or the Military Command to apply for petition to the Administrative Yuan or to the Ministry within 30 days from the delivery date.

II. The follow-up medical plan of Private First Class Chin Liang-feng of Army Aviation and Special Forces Command

The Tri-Service General Hospital stated today (26^th) that Private First Class Chin Liang-feng of Army Aviation and Special Forces Command have transferred from Taichung Tong General Hospital to the intensive care unit of the hospital for treatment at the afternoon of June 25, and in order to keep Chin improving, the superintendent General Tsai immediately convened the medical staff from the department of Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation, Hyperbaric Oxygen Center, Psychiatric Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Clinical Pharmacy, Nursing and Social Service to build a specialized medical team to enhance the cure possibility of Chin by the treatment from the cooperation of medical team.

The Tri-Service General Hospital pointed out that Chin have been injured for more than a month, and with the rescue of Taichung Shalu Tong General Hospital with full effort, the vital sign is stabilized and the acute spinal cord Injury of the upper cervical spine caused by the injury have been entered the subacute phase. The Director of the Department of Neurosurgery of the hospital Chen Yuan-hao assessed that the neurological function of Chin is still damaged and the respirator is still needed. The medical team of the hospital will keep providing breathing training and high-intensity rehabilitation to Chin, and will arrange hyperbaric oxygen chamber specialized for critical patient for treatment.

The Tri-Service General Hospital emphasized that Chin have been injured on duty and deserved best medical service and care. In addition, the Minister of the Ministry of National Defense Mr. Yen and the Director of Medical Affairs Bureau Mr. Chen paid lot attention about the case and have indicated the hospital should mobilize all resources to provide Chin medical care with best effort meet the expectation of the Chin family and citizens.
